Dee Brown

 

 

Dee Brown is the Owner and CEO/President of the EDGE Basketball, LLC. The EDGE (Elite Development Growth Environment) was built, created and developed as a NEXT GENERATION basketball training facility. It is already known as the Premier Basketball Training Facility in the State of Florida. It was erected for the unselfish reason of "building fundamental basketball players" for tomorrow. Dee focuses his hands on training with middle school, high school, college and professional athletes that would like to take their mental and physical attributes to the next level. Dee has trained some of the top men and woman players on every level. The elite list includes NBA players Grant Hill, Chucky Atkins, Drew Gooden and DeShawn Stevenson to name a few. WNBA players Nykesha Sales, Katie Douglas, Tamika Catchings, Marie Ferdinand and Shannon Johnson. International players Darius Washington Jr., Joel Jones, Brandon Hunter and others. College players Chris Warren, Garfield Blair II and Eddie Rios. He has also trained the top boys and girls high school players in Florida and around the country. He has been the Lead Skills Instructor at AAU Boys National Championships at Disney, Senior Showcase Weekend Event and AAU Boys Nationals 14U Team Camp. He has also trained some of the top travel teams in Florida and Georgia. Dee had a very successful NBA career and has many years of experience in training amateur and pro athletes. 
 
Brown was Head Coach for the WNBA San Antonio Silver Stars in  2003 season.
Brown the Director of Player Development for the Orlando Magic 2002-2003. Dee worked closely with the Basketball and Business Operations departments in overseeing all of the player programs and also provided leadership support to the organization and team's basketball players as it related to both organizational goals and player development.
 
Brown was Head Coach and General Manager for the WNBA Orlando Miracle 2001-2002.
Prior to joining the Miracle Basketball Operations staff, Brown joined the Orlando Magic corporate office as Special Assistant to Orlando Magic Operations, where he worked closely with the basketball operations, marketing, corporate sales, community relations and broadcasting departments.

The Jacksonville native, a 1990 first round draft pick (19th overall), spent two seasons with the Orlando Magic, three years with the Toronto Raptors and eight seasons with the Boston Celtics. Throughout his NBA career, Brown averaged 11.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.7 apg and led the NBA in three-point field goals made (135) and attempted (349) during the 1998-99 campaign.  He also was crowned Slam Dunk champion at the 1991 NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte In 1990, he was named to the 1990-91 NBA All-Rookie First Team after averaging 8.7 ppg and 4.2 apg for the Boston Celtics. Brown saw action in 31 playoff games, and averaged 10.3 ppg, 3.6 apg and 2.8 rpg
